SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
Friday, August 9, 2019
Those present included Mayor Greg Richmond, Alderpersons Ron Johnson, Ed Tuomala and Calvin Wilson. Also present were City Attorney Duane Cooper and City Clerk Karla McNorton.
Mayor Richmond called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. and noted Ald. Hallmark was not present.
Ald. Tuomala moved to go into closed session pursuant to RSMO. Section 610.021, Section (3) to discuss hiring, firing, disciplining or promoting of particular employees by a public governmental body when personal information about the employee is discussed or recorded. Ald. Wilson seconded. Ald. Johnson, Tuomala and Wilson voted aye with 0 nays.
After coming out of the closed session, Ald. Tuomala moved not to accept Karla McNorton’s resignation. Ald. Wilson seconded. Ald. Johnson, Tuomala and Wilson voted aye with 0 nays.
Ald. Wilson moved to reappoint the Tax Collector as the Clerk Pro-tem. Ald. Tuomala seconded. Ald. Johnson, Tuomala and Wilson voted aye with 0 nays.
Ald. Wilson moved to have Paula Brodie help catch up with things in the office and train a new clerk for up to $15.00 an hour. Ald. Tuomala seconded. Ald. Johnson, Tuomala and Wilson voted aye with 0 nays.
Ald. Tuomala moved to adjourn the meeting. Ald. Wilson seconded. Ald. Johnson, Tuomala and Wilson voted aye with 0 nays.
